The need on many American Native Reservations is overwhelming, some even resemble third world countries.
Please remember that unless a Native left the Reservation, was employed and paid into the system, they will receive no Social Security at retirement age like other Americans, leaving them with little, if any money, to live on in their final days.
Your donations of food, portable heaters, firewood, seasonal clothing, medical supplies, blankets, computers or typewriters, can help to make a enormous difference. If you wish to help, please contact* any one of the fine support groups listed below who are offering assistance* to Native people.
The very best way to assure that those with the most need receive your life saving donations is to make personal contacts with them on the Reservations. It has been reported by some on Reservations in the Dakotas that frequently, donations do not leave the possession of Tribal Council members who do not believe in trickle down to Elders who have no one to watch over, or speak for them.
